Trauma Renegotiation

Attachment Work

(Tibetan Buddhist Dharma Influenced)

The bond, our first task in this life is what we use to make sense of the world we are born into.

It actually forms the way our brains develop after we are born.

Without it, the baby knows it will not survive.

As the infant reaches out, life responds, and it is in this way we learn our first lessons.  Trauma is often the result of this pairing between parents and children, and so, if we want to realize our potential, some healing will likely be necessary.

Oddly, it is often our own story that prohibits us from believing that we have been injured by those who brought us through the early stages of life.  There is a good reason for this.

Our inner guidance often tells us that what we feel could not have been done to us by those who took care of us.  And so, we accept that there is “something wrong”, but along the way we add the last two words,…”with me”.

As we grow, that narrative grows with us, we form surrogate bonds where we can, with friends, places, eventually with ideas and philosophies.

But something is not settled, like waiting for life to begin, that sense of incompletion becomes commonplace, and so habits form in an effort to quell the pain.

The bond remains a primary concern, need,.. all the way from the baby to the paths of highest realization.

Bonding with care givers, family, friends, learning and accomplishments, on to fulfilling our capacity through introspection and authentic living .  Self is born from mind, as consciousness is born from awareness, this is verifiable with coordinated investigation.

Our search continues all the way to the moment that devotion reveals the authentic refuge, remaining so until the illusion of separation is dissolved, and what remains is true recognition of our inner nature, free to abide in its own spontaneous presence.

I addition I am working more with queer people, it has had a profound effect on me. This population of remarkable souls, searching for a true identity in a world that is strangely opposed to this undertaking.

I pray to provide shelter to each and every one of you, who so bravely face your questions of self truth, in the face of hostility from family, friends and culture. I see you as teachers of the new world, your intelligence, inclusiveness, insight and sensitivity to political and social dynamics,…in my view, makes you leaders in a world that is faltering in the absence of dependable guidance.

There is nothing that cannot be healed, it is a matter of understanding.

By first allowing understanding to arise, solutions can follow a meaningful course.
